Straton and Zenon for Advantech ADAM-5550

Advantech's ADAM-5550CE CPU module provides a suite of useful I/O capabilities, such as USB ports, RS-232/485 Communication ports, Dual 10/100Mbs Ethernet ports, a Powerful x86 compatible 500Mhz CPU including a local VGA port for convenient HMI functionality.
The extremely versatile ADAM-5550CE can serve multiple domains and is able to handle complex control requirements, high speed analog measurement, multiple programs with different cycle times, open communication functions, and enterprise-level network integration.

zenon is an easy to use and powerful software for industrial automation from COPA-DATA. The platform-independent and open system is used by companies of all sizes worldwide for process visualization as well as HMI systems or process control systems SCADA.
The zenon driver fully exploits IEC 61850 by providing a consistent communication protocol and unified data model for all areas from the network control stations to the switchgear using industrial Ethernet technology and standard hardware.

straton is a soft logic, developed by COPALP, based on IEC 61131-3 and runs on the ADAM- 5550CE real time operating system Windows® CE. So it is innately guaranteed, that the straton runtime process is executed deterministically.
The program interface supports all five in the IEC-defined languages SFC, FBD, ST, IL and LD and supports all current field bus systems.

The integration of straton into zenon leads to a SCADA system with integrated PLC logic which is called SCADA logic.

The integration of the straton-CE 256 Tags Image for ADAM-5550CE into the ADAM-5550 WIN CE5.0 image allows to call ADAM-5550 configuration tool for easy setting the configuration table for the different IO modules.

A stand alone version of the straton workbench is also available for developers who only need to build Soft logic applications. The user can choose a straton workbench stand alone version limited to 64,128 or 256 I/O’s as he needs.
